Hello from Nairobi Christian Church

December 2006 Email Letter from George Irungu
on behalf of the Nairobi Christian Church:

Hello,
Hope all is well with the kind family of Triangle Church. We are now focused on preparing the disciples for the X-Mass holidays. But this Christmas will be so different from all others because of the Christmas gift the Triangle Church* has graciously given us. We are still trying to digest the fact that soon we will be able to own our own property. Thank you once again for your love!

Last Sunday was incredible! I had already shared with disciples in different sectors about your offer to purchase land for us but this past Sunday we announced to the church. Words cannot describe the level of excitement and ecstasy that filled the hall. People were on their feet screaming, jumping, clapping and dancing for long until I beaconed them to settle down. The excitement was also fuelled by the Christmas gifts that the kids had an opportunity to receive, courtesy of Triangle Church. The whole congregation was in shock when we produced such quality Christmas gifts from behind the stage and handed them to the children. The children left the hall so happy and the parents were even happier. We took photos and DVD that will send to you as soon as they are ready.

Every single disciple is overwhelmed by the love you have for us. I clearly explained to them the financial constraint the church has experienced, and how in spite of all these challenges the Triangle church has always given our needs priority. We have enjoyed adequate support to run our church budget; most of the kids in church get support mainly from Triangle church through Kenya Kids programme; Some children here have been linked up with families and children there through the penpal arrangement; we have been receiving visitors from mainly Triangle Church over summer whose sole mission has always been to serve us and inspire the church here; the disciples have enjoyed FREE DPI books, again courtesy of Triangle church, that have kept the church spiritually focused and strong; we have been receiving numerous boxes of valuable Christmas gifts for our children, cloths, electronic gifts and much more; in addition to all these, you have generously given us a gift that will enable us achieve one of our greatest milestone – land for the church. We never thought or even imagined it is possible to be loved this much, even in God’s Kingdom!

After being showered with all these blessings, it’s quite difficult to simply just say ‘thank you’. Disciples have been asking me lately how best to reciprocate to your kindness but my honest answer has been obvious – I do not know for now! We sometimes wish we had more to give you but we pray the little we can offer will go a long way in strengthening the bond we already have.

From the bottom of our hearts we wish to thank you for you hearts of gold and pray that God will continue blessing your giving spirit. We wish you a merry Christmas and a prosperous new year.

We love you so dearly!

George Irungu
