Matthew 28:19 – 20
19 “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Triangle Church is active in mission work here in our community as well as in other nations such as Nairobi, Kenya and Honduras. We provide funds, fellowship and prayer to our brothers and sisters in Africa. Our teens have been involved in mission work also. Every other year, they travel to Honduras to serve the less fortunate. They have taken clothes, shoes, tooth brushes and school supplies. The teens return home with a greater sense of gratitude in their heart for what they have and empowered for what they can do.The mission that Jesus left for us is to spread his Gospel to the world – not just Durham or North Carolina but the entire world. Where and when is directed by Jesus.
This year’s Nairobi Christian Church Women’s Day took place about 6 hours ago and God truly glorified Himself. The slightly less than 600 women had an attendance of 1,570 women at this annual occasion that is exclusively for women and the theme was ‘Beauty to Unveil’.
December 2006 Email Letter from George Irungu
on behalf of the Nairobi Christian Church:
Hello,
Hope all is well with the kind family of Triangle Church. We are now focused on preparing the disciples for the X-Mass holidays. But this Christmas will be so different from all others because of the Christmas gift the Triangle Church* has graciously given us. We are still trying to digest the fact that soon we will be able to own our own property. Thank you once again for your love!
Last September (2006) ten disciples from Triangle traveled to Guatemala to work in a small community school. The school is located in a shanty town along an abandoned railroad corridor. About 1,500 people live in the “Linea Ferrea” and most families are headed by single moms. Typically the children work selling in the streets, or babysitting younger siblings along the tracks.
