For the first three weeks of September we will have Bible Talk lessons in Family Groups instead of our usual midweek classes. Please contact a family group leader for times and locations.
Every Tuesday from 9:00 to 9:30 pm, there is a campus Bible discussion at Ram’s Village 1, Room N-11 (the lounge). This is an interactive Bible study where we will learn to apply the Bible to our everyday lives.
KaBlaam 2010 is drawing closer! September 11th is right around the corner so please make sure you register your middle schoolers and their friends before the registration is opened to the public on August 20th! We need lots of volunteers on the day of the event — please contact our Volunteer Czar, Mark Philbrick at markphilbrickrn@hotmail.com to sign up for a couple hours on the day of the event!
We’re also getting close to our deadline for advertisers on the back of our Kablaam T-shirts. Only $125 for an ad that will highlight your business for years to come! Contact Karen Pulido at kpulido@med.unch.edu to place your ad. Any other questions, contact Susan Kennedy at 919-423-7101 or sooz222@yahoo.com

Today, we begin a series I have entitled “Traveling Tangents.” In our world today, “the journey” gets a lot of publicity. I hope we can instill here some of the same faith for the journey that Abram had when God called him to “leave and cleave.” God said “Leave” and Abram “left.” Much of traveling with God is that simple.

Women’s Prayer Night
Our focus is always on serving our Lord, Jesus.
Who we are:
We are collectively-married couples, widows/widowers and mature singles, who have never or no longer have children living with us, hence, the “Empty Nesters”.
We are providing Spanish translation during our Sunday worship service. In addition we are holding monthly Spanish/English bible discussions and fun family centered activities where we share a meal and enjoy fellowship. To stay informed please join our e-mail group at: etclatinos@googlegroup.com
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” (Matthew 19:14)
Dynamic Marriage is an 8 week, interactive course developed by the nationally recognized experts at Family Dynamics. Trained Facilitators, which is a 100% volunteer position, offer this course at least once a year in the Fall.
The Triangle Tutoring Program, a Christian-based tutorial program, started May, 2010 in an effort to better understand and help meet the academic needs of our church’s 3rd-5th graders. Registered students gather on Saturday mornings for about 1.5 hours and are given the opportunity to practice reading comprehension and/or math skills that are assessed on the North Carolina End of Grade test. We hope and plan to extend the tutorial program to our local communities during the 2010-2011 school year.
Join us at 6:30 am at the pavilion for a Sunrise Service. Service will last about an hour. Sunrise is scheduled for 6:53 am. Childcare will not be provided.
