Our vision for Triangle church is to be a simple community of God’s people who live a “with-God, in Christ, Spirit-filled lifestyle” with God as our Father, Jesus as our Savior & Lord, and His Spirit leading us on a journey of freedom and trust. We believe in the great commandment (Matthew 22:37-40) and the great commission (Matthew 28:18-20) to go make disciples of Jesus who are:
Mitch received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University and an MA in New Testament from Abilene Christian University. The Mitchells have worked in ministries in South Carolina, Texas, New York and North Carolina. Mitch helped start the Triangle Church in 1983 with a small group of families. The Mitchells have two children: Joshua and Jessica.
Prior to moving to North Carolina in 2008, Jim and Evelyn worked as ministers in the NYC Church of Christ and the Central Jersey Church of Christ. Jim has over 10 years of full-time ministry experience and has lead campus ministries at Rutgers University, Princeton University, and William Patterson University. Evelyn has a Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish from Rutgers and is currently working on a Master’s Degree. Jim has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Minnesota. He is also working on his Master’s Degree through Abilene Christian University. Jim is the currently the full-time Campus Minister for the Triangle Church. They were married in 2002 and have two children.
